2016 Buick LaCrosse MSRP Grows Slightly Over 2015 Model: Pricing Comparison

Due to launch this summer, the all-new, third-generation 2017 Buick LaCrosse is just around the corner. But before the all-new model comes to market, the second-generation LaCrosse will do its last model year as the 2016 Buick LaCrosse.

Just recently, the vehicle saw its Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) grow slightly over the 2015 model. According to a pricing analysis performed by GM Authority, the MSRP of the 2016 model is either steady or up by $175, depending on the trim level.

LaCrosse Front Wheel-Drive

The only 2016 LaCrosse trim to not see a bump in price is the “value” 1SV trim, which continues to carry an MSRP of $31,990. All of the other trim levels of the 2016 LaCrosse, however, saw a $175 price increase, including the “base” (which slots above the 1SV), Leather, as well as the Premium I and Premium II trim levels.

LaCrosse All Wheel-Drive

The same rings true for the LaCrosse with all-wheel drive, which saw a $175 increase. The AWD models are only available in the Leather and Premium equipment groups, where they carry a $3,005 and $2,650 premium over their FWD models.

  1. I have an issue that they are now charging extra for all exterior colors except white. I could see that possibly being the case on the budget level 1SV, but on all other trim levels the cost of paint should be built into the price, unless we’re talking about a true premium paint like pearl white or a tint coat red. Many of these exact same colors are available on the Chevy Malibu and Impala without an up-charge.

    1. I think GM could help itself by getting a little Scion about it’s vehicles. That the Chevy comes kinda one way and fairly impressive. If you want more you buy the Buick which kinda comes one way and even more impressive. And if you still need to impress yourself you buy the Cadillac that kinda comes one way and is clearly jaw dropping.

kinda = maybe you have to offer stronger engine and AWD models — but the remainder of the car spec is identical. So that GM is forced to put a SOLID stereo in all models of one car. And that all color choices are available.

      1. In related news, Scion is dead. Don’t know if that speaks to their inability to market a new brand or errors in configuring vehicles… but it is what it is.
