1994 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Squares Up With A 1994 Ford Mustang GT: Video

Let’s be honest, 1994 wasn’t exactly the most attractive year for either the Chevrolet Camaro or the Ford Mustang. However, both the Camaro Z/28 with the 5.7 LT1 V8, and Mustang GT with the 5.0L V8 were considered to be the product of modern day performance back in the 90’s. As far as American cars went at the time.

While a sense of nostalgia arises from watching the two 22-year-old pony cars go head to head in this Motor Week video, it also makes us appreciate how far we’ve come in the performance sector – with the new, 455 hp 6.2L LT1 V8 in the sixth-gen Camaro SS. And we can’t overlook the equally impressive Mustang GT and GT350R. Which model do you prefer? Let us know by commenting below.

  1. I’ve always wanted a fourth-gen Z28. Still do. Prefer them after the mid-cycle refresh though.
