We’re Falling In Love With The Prestine Third-Gen Camaro IROC-Z: Video

It’s not every day that you see an F-body Chevrolet Camaro that’ll turn heads, but on this episode of /Drive, we see what is arguably the nicest third-gen Camaro we’ve ever laid eyes on.

The owner of this 1989 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z is Mike Kamimoto. Inspired by the IROC racing series, Mike decided to go out and purchase his very own IROC. After searching high and low for the exact model he wanted, a dealership was able to locate Mike’s dream Camaro — a red IROC-Z without T-tops, because real race cars don’t waste their time on those kinds of nonessentials.

So, what is it that makes this Camaro so grand? Well, we’d have to agree with the show’s host, Mike Musto, on the fact that the wheel combination on this car is fantastic. The gunmetal finish goes great with the body’s red hue, which looks pretty good for a 26 year-old finish.

But not only does this third-gen Camaro look good, it feels good, too. Musto comments on how smooth the car feels, and how balanced it is through the turns. To top it off, the owner uses the 400 horsepower daily driver to autocross and compete at road course events, equipping this Camaro with the dreamy trifecta of good looks, practical usage, and the ability to be a competitive racer. And the fact that these cars are now very affordable makes them even more appealing, if you ask us.

Enjoy the 12-minute-long video, and tell us if you agree that this is the best-looking third-gen Camaro in the comments.
