We told you weeks ago the Commander-In-Chief himself would be starring in an episode of the humorous Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld. The episode has officially dropped and, opinions on politics aside, it’s another laughable, cheeky episode to enjoy.
Seinfeld shows up at the White House to greet President Obama with a gorgeous 1963 C2 Corvette Sting Ray, the only year donning the iconic rear split window. And, after putzing around the grounds, President Obama himself is handed the keys to enjoy a fine piece of American motoring.
We’re sure Vice President Biden has to have been jealous, being the self-proclaimed Corvette enthusiast that he is. After all, he did give a speech on Corvettes being better than Porsche 911s.

Although the Chevy Volt was designed, authorized, and presented by GM during the last Bush administration, many call it the “Obama Car”. Now that we know how great it is, it would been fitting if Obama drove a Volt in this show as President, because he did drive one (for a few feet) in the assembly plant. He also promised to buy one when he leaves office, so we expect to read (and see on TV, too) the former President buying a 2017 Chevy Volt (or even a 2017 Chevy Bolt EV) in January 2017.
As for Joe Biden, he should get a 2017 Chevy Corvette Stingray!

Mike first you need to understand most of us are fine with the bail outs. We understand them even better than you do based on what you have posted here.
It is the deal with Iran, Russia and other international issues that have us worried. The JV team appears to be use right now in the international world. Not saying were were doing all that great to start with but we were doing better.
You may want to note what really happened.
#1 Bush started the bail out in December and left the details up with additional money for the Obama administration to set the details and additional moneys for each company. I thought that was a smart move.
#2 GM did go under. You do know that GM that we have today is only GM in name and not the same company. This is what Mit pointed out. Mits reference to let them fail was to let them file for bankruptcy and then move their assets to a new company that would let them revieve the bail outs and renegociate the deals with the UAW and health care plans they could no longer fund. Mits point was just not to give them the lump of money and expect them to fix their issues with out some major changes that would be brought on with filing Chapter 11.
So you can use all the sematics you like but the fact is no matter who was in office they did what was needed to be done. Sure there are some that whine that Obama killed Pontiac but even I know Pontiac dies before we ever heard of Obama.
So if you want to pick a fight you first had better pick a better topic as I can see you do not really inderstand the process that happened. I would recommend you read up on the details past the headlines and know GM today is not considered the same GM and the other GM was laid to rest with the old contract and the old debts and stock.
You do remember GM issues new stock. That is why. And if you follow the details it pretty much followed Mits plan.
I think you will find we do not hate Obama or hate everthing he has done. But now there are many other things we disagree with that just do not work for this country and had divided us more and more.
FYI one of the best people in office in my opionon is a Senator fro WV. He is the most balanced guy out there and is one of the most hated by both sides. Yes he is a Democrate that they are not in love with because he draws the line at lunacy left and right.

What Mit presented was pretty much the same thing done. His point was not to just give them money and not fix the issues inside the companies. He was not calling for GM to fail and go away but for Old GM to fail and then create a new company with better labor deals and no debt. That is just what happened under Obama and was a move both sides agreed with. Some may play the sematics game but it was the same deal.
