Another day, another vehicle stopping in to Jay Leno’s Garage. This time, the American startup, Sector111 has brought its creation for Leno to sample: the Drakan Spyder.
A quick rundown of specifications for those who aren’t familiar with the vehicle are surely in order. First of all, the Drakan Spyder weighs merely 2,000 pounds. How do you make a car that light so fast? You drop a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 in. This is coupled with a race-prepped suspension setup and state-of-the-art frame and chassis, and sends the Drakan Spyder to 60 mph in 3.2-seconds.
This is truly the brutish, American cousin to a Caterham 7.
Leno seems to take a liking to the pocket rocket, too, evident from the video. But, if the car piques your interest, only 10 of them have been built for 2015. Nine have already been spoken for according to the company’s official website.
