The first stop on the fourth episode of the GMC #OurUAE mini series is an abandoned airplane that Mohammad and Majed spot as they make their way to Umm al-Quwain. As they search through the airplane, the two travelers make a startling discovery – a bustling beehive. In a mad dash to get away from the swarming insects (yes, it was that dramatic), the traction control is turned off and the GMC Sierra 3500HD kicks up the sand as the it pulls away from the forgotten plane.
Up next, the travelers visit Raed Hassan al Khaja, a paramotorist. He tells them that the vehicle is called a paramotor or a paratrike, and it looks like the cross between an airboat and a BMX bike. Raed claims that paramotoring is the safest way to fly – we don’t know how true this is (or isn’t), but it seems like the fellas enjoyed their time riding.
On their final stop Mohammad and Majed revisit Ali al Shawi, the rally driving champion and founder of the enthusiast-focused Motorplex. We see that gnarly Chevrolet Colorado trophy truck again, along with a modified Jeep Cherokee as they race a few laps around a dirt track – which looks like an absolute blast.
The GM Authority Take
We can greatly appreciate the idea of the Motorplex – a place for competition-hungry drivers to race safely. You know, at the track, where real racing is done. Have you ever experienced paramotoring, or something similar to it? Would you want to? Give us your thoughts in the comment section.
