This is now the second year GMC has been recognized in this fashion. The 2016 GMC Canyon and 2016 GMC Sierra have been ranked among the highest vehicles to retain their resale value over the next five years.
“A vehicle’s resale value is of critical importance, because a vehicle with high resale value will typically be less expensive to own over time than a similar vehicle with poorer resale value,” said Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director and executive market analyst for Kelley Blue Book.
The brand was recognized last year for a similar award, though, Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing, was outspoken on why momentum continues to build for GMC.
“This recognition affirms everything this brand stands for and provides greater assurance for our customers that they’ve made a smart choice investing in GMC. These vehicles are designed to deliver capability with refinement and style – a combination that is winning over more and more customers.”
To date, 2016 Canyon sales are up 160-percent year-over-year, while Sierra sales have increased four-percent in throughout 2015.
