General Motors will soon be in search of a new Global Media Director after a report from Ad Age pens Jonathan Halvorson leaving his position with the automaker after only eight months.
Halvorson was responsible for the automaker’s global media strategy and branded content. GM brought him on to create a “more accountable and innovative” media strategy.
A GM spokesperson confirmed the news following the report and stated his replacement has not yet been named.
Prior to General Motors, Halvorson served as global managing director at Publicis Groupe’s Starcom Mediavest Group. Starcom was GM’s media agency until 2012, when it switched to Carat.
