General Motors Canada Sales Up 13 Percent To 21,812 Units In November 2015

Canadian Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac dealers delivered 21,812 new vehicles in November 2015, an increase of 13.23 percent compared to November 2014. Sales of all four brands, including Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, and GMC, were up.

The results put GM as the automotive sales volume leader in Canada for the month.

John Roth, vice president, sales, service and marketing for GM Canada said, “For the second consecutive month, GM is back at the head of the pack with double digit sales growth for the month. Calendar year to day our Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac cars, trucks and crossovers sales are up more than six per cent. It is really great to participate in record automotive industry growth with our incredible line up of technologically advanced vehicles.”

November 2015 notes and items of interest (vs. November 2014, except as noted):

  • Chevrolet sales grew 17.3 percent to 12,578 units:
    • Camaro sales grew 89.61 percent to 146 units
    • Cruze sales grew 10.94 percent to 3,113 units
    • Equinox sales grew 21.40 percent to 1,634 units
    • Express sales grew 32.32 percent to 348 units
    • Impala sales grew 139.38 percent to 383 units
    • Silverado sales grew 11.22 percent to 3,757 units
    • Suburban sales grew 46.46 percent to 145 units
    • Tahoe sales grew 43.24 percent to 159 units
    • Traverse sales grew 24.35 percent to 337 units
    • Trax sales grew 33.72 percent to 817 units
    • Volt sales grew 196.55 percent to 172 units
    • City Express sales totaled 105 units
    • Corvette sales declined 23.81 percent to 48 units
    • Malibu sales declined 39.09 percent to 546 units
    • Orlando sales declined to zero units on the heels of the model’s discontinuation
    • Sonic sales declined 9.79 percent to 424 units
    • Spark sales declined 14.46 percent to 71 units
  • Cadillac sales grew 8.71 percent to 1.061 units:
    • ATS sales declined 29.87 percent to 317 units
    • CTS sales grew 51.39 percent to 109 units
    • ELR sales were down to zero units
    • Escalade sales were up 168.33 percent to 161 units while Escalade ESV sales were up 121.05 percent to 42 units
    • SRX sales were up 21.53 percent to 350 units
    • XTS sales were up 2.5 percent to 82 units
  • Buick sales increased 14.80 percent to 1,458 units:
    • Enclave sales grew 15.3 percent to 346 units
    • Encore sales grew 89.3 percent to 513 units
    • Regal sales grew 1.72 percent to 449 units
    • LaCrosse sales declined 47.7 percent to 91 units
    • Verano sales declined 3.85 percent to 449 units
  • GMC sales were up 6.67 percent to 6,715 units:
    • Acadia sales grew 10.92 percent to 650 units
    • Canyon sales grew 146.79 percent to 269 units
    • Savana sales grew 4.23 percent to 518 units
    • Sierra sales grew 1.67 percent to 4,133 units
    • Terrain sales grew 16.15 percent to 870 units
    • Yukon sales declined 13.26 percent to 157 units, while Yukon XL sales were up 9.2 percent to 118 units

  1. Good to see all brands show year over year sales increases. Positive all around. Cadillac a +16.9% is encouraging.

  2. That is encouraging considering Canada is in a recession . And alot of the products are old and getting either a refresh or a completely different model change .
