Chevy Prices 2016 Cruze Limited

The all-new, 2016 Chevy Cruze is coming “in the beginning” of 2016. But until the all-new, second-generation Cruze finds itself on dealer lots, Chevy is continuing to offer the outgoing, first-gen Cruze as the 2016 Cruze Limited, for which it has recently announced pricing.

2016 CHevrolet Cruze Limited MSRP
Trim Level MSRP
L $16,995
LS Manual $18,720
LS Automatic $19,845
1LT Manual $20,040
1LT Automatic $21,070
ECO Manual $21,070
ECO Automatic $22,345
2LT Automatic $24,245
LTZ Automatic $25,245

The 2016 Cruze Limited will be available in nine trims, all of which carry over from the 2015 Cruze except for the 2.0L Cruze Diesel.

The starting MSRP is $16,995 for the base L trim level with a manual transmission, with the LS manual being the next step up, starting at $18,720. The least expensive Cruze with an automatic transmission is the LS automatic priced at $19,845. The range tops out with the LTZ trim level, available only with an automatic gearbox, at $25,245.

  1. I’m all for the Chinese and Brazilian practice of selling multiple generations at a time with the numerous Buick Excelle variants being a prime example.
I do think generation one models are overpriced & that there should be, say, a $2,000 savings when one buys an older model.
Vehicles like this, or China Cruze, would be ideal for rental fleets. To avoid deprecation, or buyer confusion, I’d also like to see the Saturn name resurrected for W platform Impala, Cruze and whatever older & discounted models live in and end up at Avis.

    1. The 2016 Cruze Limited will not be on sale concurrently with the new 2016 Cruze. If it were, I would also recommend the strategy of selling it for several thousand less than the new model.

  2. 2016 Cruze Limited = the 2016 Cruze. Period. There is no next gen Cruze yet. Might as well call the thing a 2017 when it finally arrives in January.

    1. I know, Chevy’s big make over is such a struggle.
2016 Camaro- in lots end of Nov. -2.0 turbo not even available yet
2016 Volt- in a few states
2016 Cruze-nowhere to be found yet
2016 Malibu- just arriving in lots
2016 Spark- does it even matter?

Srry- the 2016 Silverado was rushed out there- the resources should have been thrown at the Malibu and Cruze
Go in a Chevy dealership and it still looks like nothing is happening.
The next Gen Cruze needs to get there soon!!
Again this is just my opinion as armchair CEO

      1. This is what it takes to deliver highly-complex, all-new products with thousands of parts. They’re not making and delivering pizzas here…
