Chevrolet Ute Force And Dreamfields Projects Take To Cape Town

As part of the Chevrolet One World Play Project (OWPP), Chevrolet is bringing the joy of soccer to underprivileged children. To date, Chevrolet has distributed more than 60,000 One World Futbols to needy communities in South Africa.

The Chevrolet Ute Force Project, a smaller project stemming from the OWPP, has impacted 240 schools in South Africa since 2013. The Chevrolet Ute Force spent a week in the heart of Cape Town, involving itself with the sport of soccer; players, aspiring youngsters, and hopeful captains from the city. Soccer teams from 10 local schools from the Cape Town area were invited to play soccer and received a brand new soccer kit (read: uniform) Each child  was able to receive access to training as well.

“If something as simple as a ball can build a dream for a child, then that is a dream we are going to help make true,” says Tim Hendon, Chevrolet Brand Manager. It’s nice to see that something is being down to assist those who are less fortunate, and we tip our hats to Chevrolet and the efforts of everyone else involved.
