We’ve already seen, heard, taken a ride in and driven the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. But what we haven’t done is discussed the exterior colors of the new sports car.
As it sits, the 2016 Camaro is available in ten exterior hues. Seven of these are standard colors and are therefore included in the price of the car, while the other three are extra-charge premium colors that add $395 to the vehicle’s price.
Standard colors ($0):
- Silver Ice Metallic
- Summit White
- Black
- Nightfall Gray Metallic
- Red Hot
- Blue Velvet Metallic
- Hyper Blue Metallic
Premium Colors ($395):
- Bright Yellow
- Garnet Red Tintcoat
- Mosaic Black Metallic
For those who have already ordered their 2016 Camaro, which color did you opt for? And for those who are planning on getting one, which will you get? Talk to us in the comments below. And be sure to vote in our poll about your favorite Camaro color.

Garnet Red Tincoat, kids!
I like red hot more, personally. But hey, they’re all nice.
What about “Bumblebee Yellow”? GM should thank the Transformer franchise for making the Camaro the most sought sports vehicle in yellow (overtaking the Canary Yellow for the Ford Mustang).
Should GM thanks Transformers, or should they thank themselves for executing a great product placement campaign?
How many shades of black do you need?
My choice is; Mosaic Black or Blue Velvet
Yellow, it looks like butter.
I think that yellow looked good on the 5th gen. Camaro, but does not look that great on the 6th gen. for some reason. I also thought that silver ice metallic looked extremely bland on the 5th gen., but looks fantastic on the 6th gen. (seems to bring out the styling details of the car).
Having said this, I would get a Blue Velvet Metallic 6th gen. Camaro.
Good points on the colors. the Silver does look way better on this one, and the Yellow was a lot sharper on the 5th gen
looks good ..cant get to New Zealand fast enough …in Right hand drive
The new Camaro looks fantastic. I was going to order one but unfortunately Chevrolet did not pick any shade of orange for the gen 6… Looks like I’ll either wait or consider something else since that’s a major deal breaker for me. Give us Daytona sunrise orange metallic or a similar variant of an awesome orange color GM!
Exactly, could not have said it better myself. I have a 2010, I wanted to trade up…but not with this bland color selection. I mean seriously, how many shades of bland ass black / grey can you get.
Its a PONY CAR, get some colors in those!!!
Please i need the code number of Camaro Black 2ss 1lte 2016.
