2017 Opel Mokka Spied With Freshened Front End

Update: an earlier version of this article incorrectly states that the Mokka spied in the photos was a 2016 model year vehicle. The 2016 Mokka is already on sale, which leads us to believe that this is the 2017 Mokka.

The Opel Mokka has been a smash hit for the brand in the Old World, and a raging success here in the new world as the Buick Encore. And to keep things fresh, the subcompact crossover is up for a refresh of sorts.

New spy shots show the 2017 Mokka wearing some new design bits up front, including what new headlamps similar to the recently-introduced 2016 Opel Astra K, as it’s pretty easy to see the IntelliLux Matrix LEDs sitting front and center. Just don’t expect the fancy headlights to make their way to the updated 2017 Buick Encore any time soon due to U.S. guidelines. Not to worry, he 2017 Encore will likely get some HID headlamps instead.

Other than the headlights, the most noticeable update to the 2017 Mokka will be the revised front end that is lurking under the tester’s camouflage. Plus. it looks like a set updated taillamps are present, too.

The 2017 Opel Mokka should make its debut shortly in the new year, with the 2017 Buick Encore following closely behind.
