Watch The Unveiling Of The 2017 Cadillac XT5

Earlier today, Cadillac unveiled the all-new 2017 XT5 crossover in Dubai. Although the brand has yet to release its own footage of the unveiling, we found this unofficial version shot by an attendee of the reveal.

In the video, the presentation by Cadillac’s Marketing Chief Uwe Ellinghaus is followed by some detailed footage of the vehicle’s exterior and interior.

To note, the model presented during the unveiling is a different color outside (silver) and in (light platinum with aluminum trim) than the very first official pictures of the XT5 provided by Cadillac, giving us the ability to view the new crossover with new details.

For instance,  the exterior’s silver hue allows us to see the various curves and intricacies of the crossover’s body, while the cabin’s light platinum with aluminum trim combination provides a different look and feel from the tan and wood trim combination of the official press pics.

Watch the video for yourself, but be mindful of the occasional camera jerk — it can cause dizziness in the light-of-heart.

  1. Most new cadillacs look way better in their live shots then the “official digital pictures” either Cadillac needs a new photography team or something. The front end in this video doesn’t look as tall as in pics. it looks sleek and sporty.

  2. Cadillac’s XT5 will join the CT6 with featuring the 265 horsepower turbocharged 2.0L 4-cyl engine as a base engine; but for this to be practical, it must mean the XT5 shares some of the ‘science’ used in the CT6 to possibly drop the vehicle’s curb weight below 4,000 lbs because the current SRX has a curb weight of 4,442 lbs. and 265hp might not be enough power.
