Chevrolet was delighted to bring a hometown hero to the 2015 SEMA Show: Kid Rock. Not only did he arrive in Las Vegas to help unveil the 2016 Chevrolet 3500 HD concept, but he had a specific hand in developing the design and imagining what an all-American truck should be.
Rock paid a visit to the General Motors Flint assembly plant, where he met with local UAW workers and rolled the 2016 Silverado 3500 HD off the line, where he would then drive it to the Warren Center to begin design work. And surely this partnership stems from Chevrolet’s sponsoring of Rock’s latest tour across the U.S.
Inspiration came from Detroit, and what Rock calls “the country’s backbone,” building some of the greatest trucks in the world.
Chevrolet has provided a replay of the unveiling, and the video Rock recorded as part of the build and design process, showing where he took inspiration from, and explaining why he chose specific designs and parts to create his concept of the greatest 2016 Silverado 3500.
