The 2016 Cadillac SRX Is Also For Contrarians: Ad Break

You may have seen the recent marketing proclamation that the Cadillac ATS is the perfect car for contrarians. Well, the same proclamation regards the SRX, which happens to be a great fit for the contrarian who happens to need a crossover SUV instead.

Sadly, we think it’s safe to say that this is probably the last commercial for the Cadillac SRX. But we aren’t all that upset, because the 2017 Cadillac XT5 is on its way – and it’s raising the bar with its lightweight design and  updated interior, and also features new Digital Shifter technology.

  1. The SRX has been a perennial favorite . It’s been Cadillac’s best selling vehicle for the last few years . It was also a vast improvement from the first body style . And it made Cadillac alot of money .

  2. They used the same footage as they did for the ATX – guy out for a run, swapped-out the shot of the restaurant/coffee shop for someone who looks like she’s a jewelry designer. I guess they figure, why not use the same location and film crew, do a slight re-edit, sell a lease offer at the end: last year of the SRX.

    Not terrible, but not exactly contrarian. Oh well, they sell a lot of them.
