At the 2014 SEMA Show, Chevrolet debuted a handful of concept 2015 C7 Corvette Z06 performance parts, inspired by legendary Corvette racing driver, Ron Fellows. This year, Chevrolet brought many of Fellows’ ideas to life in the 2016 C7 Corvette Stingray Track Day Car.
The 2016 C7 Corvette Stingray Track Day goes hand-in-hand with the announcement of the Michelin Corvette Challenge racing series, which Ron Fellows Performance Driving School will oversee.
Chevrolet has provided a replay of the conference where it unveiled the fruition of a collaborative effort with Fellows to create a Stingray Z51 that was inspired by the C7 Corvette Z06.
The host of parts include suspension, aerodynamic and structural components to make the already-capable C7 Corvette Stingray a true track monster.

What I want to know is whether it would be possible to build a C7 Corvette to match the handling characteristics of a Corvette C7.R because while speed is good, having a great handling car might be even better and this is why the C7 Corvette Z06 did so well in blowing out the competition in Car and Driver’s Lightning Lap because it was good in acceleration and handling.
