Marry Barra Set To Speak At 2016 CES Conference

Marry Barra, General Motors Chief Executive Officer, is set to speak at the 2016 CES technology conference amongst other tech-forward executives.

Barra’s overarching theme for her speech will be “redefining personal mobility,” according to The Detroit News.

Barra said GM is “among the leaders” regarding autonomous vehicle technology. Barra has been a strong advocate for connected driver technologies with GM’s “V2V” technology set to role out as early as 2017.

Innovations in battery technology will also likely be addressed — including better range and affordability for future electric vehicles (i.e. the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt).

Along with GM CEO Barra, the conference will feature nine other automakers amongst 115 automotive tech companies. Other executives from Netflix CEO Reed Hastings to chief business officer of YouTube, Robert Kyncl will also deliver keynote speeches.
