Inattentive Driver Totals Man’s Dream Corvette C6 Grand Sport Less Than An Hour After Delivery: Accident Watch

David Wilhelm of Sandusky, Ohio had finally saved up enough money to buy his dream car — a C6 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport with a black body, an aggressive-looking black top, glossy black wheels, and a black interior.

Wilhelm bought the Corvette on Monday afternoon around 4 p.m., but less than an hour later, the Chevrolet sports car was T-boned by a Ford Flex that had run a red light, forcing Wilhelm’s Vette into a utility pole at the intersection of Hancock and East Monroe in Sandusky. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Watch the video that was brought to our attention by CorvetteBlogger to see more of the damage that was caused by the inattentive driver of the Ford.

The GM Authority Take

What a shame. We truly feel for David. Here’s to hoping that his insurance will cover the cost to replace his dream Corvette.
