We’ve been showing you quite a bit of the Chevrolet Red Line Concept Series that will be showcased at the 2015 SEMA show next week at the Las Vegas Convention Center. And now, we have a video to go along with it.
The host of the video reminds us of what the aim of Chevrolet was in creating the series of concepts, which was about having fun. Sounds good to us.
One of our viewers made a comment on a previous post stating that they wished the “Red Line” concepts were more like the Saturn “Redline” vehicles. While we agree, we also were faced with the realization of the difference between the two. “Red Line” signifies a line that is red, in other words – form. In contrast, “Redline” is the RPM limit of an engine, which refers to function.
Thus we come full circle to the purpose of the Red Line Concepts. They’re one-of-a-kind and they’re great to look at, especially that Camaro. That’s a mission accomplished if you ask us. Watch the video, then let us know your thoughts are of the concepts so far.

To just paint stuff red as an accent is lame……there ….I said it.
Make the term redline , red line, or however you want to spell it mean something about performance……the engine…..the suspension…..the way it was perceived when introduced the first time.
Really …..who comes up with this stuff?
If you want to call it a Red Line……are you going to get taken to court by the oil manufacturer?
Call it a Redline…….drop it an inch …..stffen it up and add some ponies…..add VALUE to it .
There…..off my soap box…..sheeesh !
