The Chevrolet Corvette is a name that speaks for itself. From the factory, the car is just about everything your typical consumer could hope for, with DNA from Corvette Racing to its eye-catching styling cues. But the C16 is different, as outlined in the video by car aficionado and comedian Adam Carolla.
As you would expect, this custom Corvette has some impressive features, including a set of the world’s lightest road wheel weighing in at 18 pounds a piece. The wheels are comprised of carbon fiber barrels with magnesium centers bolted to the barrels, making these two-piece wheels. At 10-inches wide in the front, and 12-inches in the rear, the wheels allow for some pretty fat tires.
Can we just say that, while the detail of door-handle styling (or lack there of) is small, we found the handle-less entry to the C16 to be super awesome. We also immediately began to think of what would happen if such a system malfunctioned while going down the highway, and resolved by saying the guys at Callaway know what they’re doing.
There’s plenty more to love with the C16 – like that stunningly gorgeous rear-end. That said, we’re not sure how we feel about the the Ferrari 599-esque looks, but we digress. Watch the video for yourself, then share your thoughts with us by commenting below.
