Buick Regal GS With A Supercharger, Turbocharger, And Nitrous: Video

RCR recently uploaded this video of the valiant, final bout from this fourth-gen Buick Regal GS. Thanks to the work of Sloppy Mechanics, this Regal got take some final breaths with some assistance from a turbocharger and some nitrous oxide.

Our favorite lines were, “Well what did it make?” and “Fire, what more do you want!” And what do you do when a car catches fire during a dyno run? Pour beer on it, of course. Our hardy laughter turned into ooh’s and ahh’s when we saw that the Regal had actually put out 310 wheel-horsepower for the run, looks like the turbocharger was impeding its performance.

“‘Put ice in the turbocharger,’ they said, ‘it’ll be fun,’ they said.”

Don’t feel too bad for the ol’ Buick, it served for 280,000 miles and was on its way to the junkyard for retirement anyways. With that said, we know you guys are going to love this one, enjoy.

A car-loving millennial. We Are!

  1. I have a 1995 Buick Regal with the same engine (sans supercharger or turbocharger), yet it served me for 21 years with no engine or transmission repairs at all! That V6 is one of the few that has beaten the Chevy Corvette V8 in torque and acceleration, has run at the Indiannapolis 500, and can give out over one HP per cubic without failure.
