3000-Horsepower Twin-Turbo C6 Corvette Z06 Catches Air After 1/2 Mile Run: Video

Kelly Bise owns not one but two twin-turbo Chevrolet C6 Corvettes. One is sitting at 1,600 rear-wheel horsepower, and the other is sitting at a whopping 3,000. Both look nearly identical. The philosophy behind what he calls “double trouble” is rather brilliant: “so I like to bet a thousand dollars on this one, and if I lose I bring out big brother, double the money, and spank their ass”, says Bise. Though some would call this “hustling,” we’re not here to judge.
Recently, Bise’s tuner Joe Hunnycutt was piloting “big brother” Corvette down the airfield at about 190 miles per hour when the car lost traction, went off into the grass, and caught a little air. Hunnycutt ended up walking away unscratched, while the Z06 suffered some cosmetic damage, along with a face full of grass.
Maybe the incident could be considered payback (or karma) by some, especially those who don’t agree with Bise’s ways. That, or it’s a completely unrelated incident that can sometimes happen when you have a ridiculously-fast car. On the note of karma, the outcome of this incident could have been much, much worse. So take it as you will. We just enjoy watching scary fast Corvettes, and the close call of this one just adds to the excitement.
