2017 GMC Canyon Denali: Hot Or Not?

GMC pulled the wraps off of its newest member of the Denali family at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show in the 2017 Canyon Denali. The midsize truck sees standard Denali features ready and willing to push the truck even further upmarket.

We’re here to ask if the 2017 Canyon’s Denali duds are an eye pleasure, or an eye sore.

The GMC Canyon isn’t a bad looking truck to start, looking much like a baby brother to the 2016 GMC Sierra. With that said, it’s hard to mess up the design by adding a few premium touches, dashes of chrome and big wheels.

The red paint hue shown on the truck also does the exterior plenty of favors and looks fantastic in person to offset the extra bling factory from the grille and other chrome design touches.

Well, we’re ready to hear from you, our dear readers. Is the 2017 GMC Canyon Denali a looker? Or, should there have been more done to make the already handsome truck more striking? Vote in our poll and, if you feel so compelled, expand upon your decision in the comment section.

  3. Why does all GM trucks both Chevrolet / GMC up scale models take the chrome bumpers off. Chevrolet High Country as well as the GMC Denali. I my opinion the chrome bumpers should be a option on these models. Sorry I’m old school and I like chrome. In my day painted bumpers were on the cheap models and all the upscale models had chrome.

  4. This sadly is lipstick on a pig. The interior already looks dated (what’s up with that shift knob?). No HUD. No push-button start for God’s sake. C’mon, GM, you can do better.

  7. When it comes to being a Luxury brand gm needs to follow the leaders like mercedes bmw audi etc this truck is a Denali and its not even offered with HID lights its 2015 this why gm is lagging behind somehow they think being cheap is still good

  8. I just bought a 2017 Canyon Denali and owned it for a total of 24 hours. I was unaware of the shuddering / shifting problems with the transmission. I didnt notice it when test driving but sure noticed when I left the dealership. I did a search on the net when I first felt the problem and found that there are numerous complaints. I took the dealership mechanic with me for a drive and he agreed there was a problem but they couldn’t remedy it without trying multiple solutions. I got my trade-in car back and cancelled the purchase.
