2017 Buick LaCrosse Flaunts Its Exterior Design Lines In Latest Teaser: Video

Buick is continuing to ramp up its teaser efforts for a very important car: the 2017 LaCrosse. Before the car makes its formal debut at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, Buick has provided a short video showcasing a few quick glimpses of the exterior, and it’s looking mighty handsome.

We’re only treated to closeups, shying away from the full vehicle, but it’s easy to see some of the design cues present with the 2017 LaCrosse from the video here. Right away, the new Buick grille, with a reinstated red, white and blue tri-shield is present, and inspiration from the Buick Avenir concept is apparent.

It’s easy to see the car has also been slimmed up front, too. Gone is the more portly stance of the current car, and the toned-down grille is doing the design a lot of favors up front in our eyes.

It won’t be long until the 2017 LaCrosse is revealed for the world to see. In the meantime, make do with what you see above.

  1. Buick is finally getting this car right. Retro touches in a very modern vehicle. Port holes on the side of the car instead of hood and grill from the best of the 1950’s. Perfect. Beautiful sculpted lines easy on the eyes! Baby boomers will love it and without a doubt will be a huge hit in China.

  2. I loved the current waterfall but it didn’t work well unless viewed directly, and not from the side.
I’m hoping the port holes are finally off the hood for all models.
My only issue is the loss of the mono chrome tri shield. Not a fan of red, white and blue; color would have only worked had it matched the paint (& kit up) like the Rivera concept.

  3. If you’ve seen the car already like me, much of what was great about the 2nd Gen car is still there. I’m a little disappointed that the waterfall grill has been reduced but it might return in a refresh. I’m still keen on buying it.

  4. Am I the only one who is tired of teasers? This isn’t a GM-specific criticism. But it’s getting tiresome across the board. A little shot here, a little shot there, some vague artistic rendering of the “flow” of the exterior. Etc.
