Motor Trend decided to mix it up a tad when announcing the 2016 Car of the Year and Truck of the Year. Rather than contacting the winning automaker beforehand, and traveling to present the award, a live award show was hosted, making the award winners a total surprise to everyone in attendance.
It was a good year for the guys and gals at Chevrolet, because MT awarded the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro 2016 Car of the Year. The 2016 Camaro became the top pick for COTY, as editors praised the all-new performance machine for its lighter weight, brand range of powerplants and noted for its “world-class sports car performance and dynamics.”
The last time the Chevrolet Camaro won COTY was over three decades ago in 1982. Oh, how far we’ve come.

I wish chevy advertises the hell out of this for the camaro. Take that ford a pony car winning a majour award in these times where a single mpg can push a car to the top. Nice to see people still like fun in their cars
I am always amazed at how people choose what’s a good car vs a bad car
