Chevrolet has pulled off the Impala Midnight Edition and Silverado Midnight Edition, but we’ve never seen a Camaro take on the dark side, until now. Enter the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Black Concept.
Chevrolet revealed this 2016 Camaro Black concept alongside the 2016 Camaro Performance concept, Camaro Hyper concept and Camaro Krypton concept. The 2016 Camaro Black concept takes on a full-blown, black-out look, wearing a Mosaic Black Metallic exterior with darkened trim all around, tinted glass and black 20-inch wheels.
“It is a very popular thing customers do with the fifth-generation Camaro and we wanted to be the first to show how it looks with the new Gen Six,” said Adam Barry, senior creative designer, Chevrolet Camaro. “I’ll tell you – it looks pretty sinister.”
Literally anything you can touch as an accessory for the 2016 Camaro has been finished in black to add to its in-your-face look, but the suspension lowering kit does favors to complete the look.
Chevrolet will continue to judge opinions and feedback from its concepts to make future decisions on upcoming special edition packages, and turning concept accessories into production options.
