2016 Buick Verano GS Leaked Ahead Of Official Reveal?

The internet continues to spoil all sorts of secrets for automakers, with the latest casualty looking to be the production-version of the 2016 Buick Verano GS hatchback, which you can see here. The 2016 Verano GS is set to make its official debut at the 2015 Guangzhou Auto Show, but we seem to be staring at the real thing here.

We say that because the exterior color matches the teaser images previously provided by Buick itself, a bright surf-blue hue. Other than a revised front clip to house the signature Buick waterfall grille, what you see if nearly an identical copy of the 2016 Opel Astra. And, if you ask us, that’s not a bad thing since the Astra K is a very handsome looking vehicle.

Red accents fills the interior and exterior of the car, and a set of black-chrome wheels seem to round out GS-specific upgrades for the Buick Verano hatchback.

We do know powertrain specifics, however. Buick has stated the 2016 Verano GS will be offered with a turbocharged 1.5-liter SIDI four-cylinder engine, paired exclusively to a seven-speed DCG gearbox.

We’ll have the latest information on the 2016 Verano GS after the car’s debut in China on November 20, 2015.

  4. Sad. I’m a proud owner of G M whole life. I feel cheated. I saw the new verano “second gen” and went to the dealer in US and when I got there it was the old style. Its a tad boring. My 2014 lacrosse is sweet. But I wanted to add a second buick to the family and they didn’t even know of this style nor the talks of hatch back. Really ticks me off That we don’t think of our own consumers as well. It would funny if toyota or handa did that to there home land but I know they are still getting the same if not better styles. What’s up GM!? I owned a 94 old tornado, 97 buick regal, 97 chevy lumina atv, 97 cavilar, 2007 chevy express 20uick lacrosse
