Remember Tony Soprano’s 2003 Cadillac Escalade ESV that was up for grabs earlier this month at RR Auctions? Well, it was recently sold for a fat $120,000.
That’s quite a bit of coin for a 12 year-old Cadillac, but for some, the privilege of owning such a representative piece of machinery — not only for the HBO series but for its time as well — is priceless. And that’s not to mention that the ‘lade is signed by the late James Gandolfini, who played Tony Soprano.
The SUV is an “instantly recognizable prop” from the The Sopranos“, according to executive vice president of RR Auction, Robert Livingston.
The GM Authority Take
I can appreciate the cool points and the significance of the Escalade, but as a functionalist, I can’t help but feel that I would rather spend the money on, say, a 2016 CTS-V or 2016 ATS-V.
