Weber-Shandwick Has Been Hired To Handle Vauxhall Social Media

After performing a persuasive pitch, Weber Shandwick has been appointed by Vauxhall to handle its social media in the UK. Responsibilities include driving social strategy, developing social-first campaigns, content creation, and overseeing day-to-day community management.

Leading the Vauxhall account in strategy is Weber Shandwick EMEA social head Danny Whatmough, and in creativity is EMEA ECD James Nester. These fellas and their team have the privilege of working with the likes of the Astra, Corsa, Adam, and Mokka.

“We feel social media has a fundamental role to play in building our brands and driving business value. We wanted to work with an agency that really understood how to engage our key audiences – we found that in Weber Shandwick,” explained Vauxhall brand marketing director Chris Hawken.

Both Vauxhall and Weber are very optimistic about the future of the partnership, and foresee Weber having a positive influence on the company’s business. Meanwhile, the agency Kaper will assist in Vauxhall’s PR and communications.
