The 2016 Chevrolet Traverse Can See What You Can’t: Ad Break

This long-cut, 2-minute Chevrolet commercial points out just how hard it is to deal with things you aren’t able to see, and how the 2016 Traverse offers a sort of sixth sense that allows it to see what you can’t – with safety features such as Front Collision Alert and Automatic Front Braking.
Chevy raises a pretty good point here, and we’re again faced with this question of, “is using technology more effective than teaching drivers how to be aware?” What we’ve come to conclude is – not everyone is an automotive enthusiast. That is, not everyone gets excited when they get in the driver’s seat, in fact, some dread it. Poor souls.
To many, going from point A to point B is a one dimensional task, and all they need to know is; how to turn the car on, use the pedals, and steer. It is this type of driver – the majority, it would seem – that will benefit from and utilize these new innovative safety features. And we see no issue with that, so long as us romanticized drivers have the ability to operate our vehicles, meaning there is no law regulating that all cars on the road be fully autonomous (yet).
With all of that said, the Traverse is a great family hauler regardless of which sort of driver you may be. See the commercial for yourself, and as always we encourage you to share your reactions in the comment section below.
