Shanghai OnStar Introduces New Services For Cadillac Owners

Shanghai OnStar wants to make owning a Cadillac the most premium experience Chinese drivers have ever experienced. Therefore, the service has announced two new services have been added to the already long list of OnStar capabilities.

The first is My Designated Driver. The service has been designed for those who are impaired, and do not feel comfortable driving themselves, such as after drinking. It incorporated China’s largest car-hailing app, Didi Chuxing, to have another driver come pick a Cadillac owner up, and return them home safely.

With a touch of the OnStar button, another vehicle can be sent in route immediately. The service is available in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and other major Chinese cities.

Second is My Assisted Booking. The service handles hotel rooms, airfare and much more with the push of a button. The service can also be managed through the accompanying smartphone application, allowing for a more organized schedule for the busy individual.

Shanghai OnStar says it will continue to look for new and innovative ways to increase connectivity and time management in not only Cadillacs, but any other vehicle equipped with the service.
