You may have already seen the changes and updates in store for the 2016 Buick Encore, but have you seen its color palette?
In total, the 2016 Encore offers nine colors and three lower accent hues. Only one of the nine — Summit White — is free (or included in the price of the car), while the other eight are premium colors that carry an additional charge:
New for 2016 colors:
- River Rock Metallic with Dark Cocoa Ash lower accent (premium paint, additional charge)
- Summit White with Dark Argent Metallic lower accent
- Graphite Gray Metallic with Dark Argent Metallic lower accent (premium paint, additional charge)
Carry-over colors:
- Quicksilver Metallic with Dark Argent Metallic lower accent (premium paint, additional charge)
- Carbon Black Metallic with Dark Argent Metallic lower accent (premium paint, additional charge)
- Winterberry Red Metallic with Dark Argent Metallic lower accent (premium paint, additional charge)
- Coastal Blue Metallic with Dark Argent Metallic lower accent (premium paint, additional charge)
- Rosewood Metallic with Dark Cocoa Ash lower accent (premium paint, additional charge)
- White Pearl Tricoat with Satin Nickel Metallic accent (premium paint, additional charge)

Must be GMC/Buick managements newest way to drive profit. Nickel/dime the customer for almost every color of paint except one or two. This is probably tolerable for high-line vehicles, but Buick an GMC I don’t put in that category.
