GMC Canyon Denali Spied Wearing Its Upscale Duds

GMC’s Denali brand basically prints money for parent company, General Motors. That’s a fact. The Denali sub-brand has been extremely successful in distinguishing a line between “Professional Grade” and hopping it up with an extra dose of “Precision.”
It’s not the first time we’ve seen it, but Automotive News has once again spied the upcoming GMC Canyon Denali out testing. And it’s looking quite production ready.
Standard Denali cues are evident, such as the wide honeycomb grille, and chrome trim. Interestingly, the truck has switched from an entirely chrome grille, to a black one. Each Denali-branded vehicle has consistently traded up for a flashy chrome piece over a more pedestrian-black design.
GMC has sent an invitation to media for its 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show celebration, where it remarked a “new addition to the Denali family” will be unveiled. It’s ever so likely we’ll be seeing a production GMC Canyon Denali in a few short weeks.

Then should the Colorado have High country?
vic1212,
It’s something myself and the other staff have discussed before but, ultimately, in my personal opinion I think GMC should have the luxury truck game to itself. After all, that’s why GMC stuck around after bankruptcy. Just my two cents.
Cheers,
Sean
Chevy should have a up scale truck but not one on par with GMC. The Denali is to its own and if you really want to set GMC apart they need something to latch onto,
I had a Colorado Crew this weekend. It was a great truck I loved much about it. BUT!
I got inside and then looked at the colors available they are dark and drab. Too much Jet Black. The Canyon on the other hand had at least one lighter brown based tu tone interior. It made it look much more rich and upper scale.
At this point if I go shopping for one of these two trucks I will buy the GMC just based on the better color interior offered.
It will be interesting to see what the Denali will offer. Will it just be trim like the Terrain or will it get some extra features like the full size trucks. Things like more power and a power sun roof?
They talked about the Canyon Denali 2015 year
I’m tired for them talking about it
Build it or shut up
The interior of this truck, especially in the Denali trim, looks like the interior of a 2004 Trail Blazer. That shifter like come on guys
