The LS7 small-block V8 may reside on the old school side of things, but there’s no denying its powerful, raw qualities. And the engine still knows how to give any Chevrolet performance fan goosebumps, especially when handed over to the folks at Hennessey Performance Engineering.
HPE has shown off the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 fitted with the HPE650 package, which makes the already potent Z/28 good for 557 wheel horsepower and 479 wheel lb-ft of torque. Not only does the 2015 Camaro Z/28 make for a stout track vehicle but, with HPE’s help, it won’t be too shabby at the drag strip either. Though, we assume most Z/28 owners will stick to track days to utilize all of the car’s race-inspired components.
At the end of the day, though, Hennessey knows how to make a killer Camaro, no doubt.
