Chevrolet announced it will be bringing a host of “Red Line” concepts to the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, with the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Red Line concept highlighting the handful of vehicles.
The 2016 Chevrolet Colorado made the shortlist for the Red Line treatment, and designers have done is well with tasteful, contemporary and stylish design cues.
“The Chevrolet Red Line Series concepts integrate accessories that offer greater personalization choices,” said Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. “Each vehicle wears production and concept accessories thematically linked under the Red Line Series banner. We look forward to gauging public reaction at the SEMA Show and other venues.”
The 2016 Colorado Red Line concept starts with an “Enhanced Silver Metallic” exterior paint choice, complimented by a custom Charcoal roof panel and Satin Graphite and red accents.
Each Red Line concept uses the color scheme in different aspects but, on the 2016 Colorado, the midsize truck receives Satin Graphite mirror caps, window moldings, grille surround and inserts, door handles and fog lamp bezels. Glossy black and red badging continues to contrast the accessories’ design cues across the truck, and Goodyear Wrangler Fortitude tires ensure the 2016 Colorado Red Line sits high and mighty.
Additional Chevrolet Accessories and performance parts include:
- Air intake and exhaust kits
- 18-inch wheels (with custom red accents) and center caps
- Black bowtie kit
- Wheel flares
- Sport assist steps
- GearOn cargo rings, cross rails and tiered storage
- GearOn bike rack by Thule
- Floor liners.
The Chevrolet Colorado already plays home to a handful of great looking special edition trims, but we certainly wouldn’t mind the 2016 Colorado Red Line making its way to dealers as one solid and sexy package.

If you have something to tell General Motors, tell them. We’re a completely independent news website and not an automaker.
Detail to high traction know as classification engineering because no record In education for vehicles. Just use random check g force traction and calculate momentum in difference mutti chassis.
Wider front track than rear track in over 10 mm chassis for high traction and better handle control.
If you say this as unnecessary. It is too waste my time to disguise about one.
I have no idea what the 2 above me are talking about.
That being said I cant help but think of a Saturn when i hear “redline edition”. And it looks like its just another sticker, paint, and wheel package. I want to see some true variances in trucks. ZQ8? ZR2? Hell even a Z66. People want choices. Not just visual differences that can easily be cloned. Change components and make substantial differences. And for God sakes market them appropriately! Any Chevy dealership in the US can add this sticker and wheel flair do dad kit to a Colorado.
But i digress… hopefully Mark Reuss has them on the way.
I agree, enough with the appearance packages. This looks very nice but for the love of god, please up the performance to compliment the looks! Were are the Cruze SS’s, The Sonic SS’s, The Silverado SS’s. We need more performance packages, not appearance packages.
That’s a NICE truck !!!
I like it too but they do need to invest in some real hardware in some of these models.
The special paint and decals have been profitable but I am sure people will pay even more for some more variations of chassis.
Where is the ZQ8?
This also needs the hash on the fender like the Camaro and the past Corvette version.
This is an interesting beginning or idea for this truck but I agree with some of the opinions here, especially about the need for a ZQ8 option, and the fact that ‘sport’ type options should come with performance (horsepower) upgrades. I’m not into jacked up 4×4’s and off-road stuff (like AWD) so ZQ8 or SS street performance options are the things that bring me into the showrooms to shop and buy. Good looking truck though, could be lowered a tad.
Very nice looking. But what about the sunroof? GM seems not understanding client’s need. Not even offering as an option in the future they said. Why? The Silverado or Sierra have it!
The accent on the rims needs to go. not a good look.
Any bowtie color you want- pemanent outdoor vinyl adhesive sticker cost $4 (vinyl expressions)
Blacked out z71 offroad decals cost $24 (amazon)
CAI and Exhaust kits already available from the big brands. Blackhawk K&N CAI +15hp $317, Borla Cat back exhaust +10hp $700 (Any major online car parts dealer) 3rd party body kits are also available
Trifecta tune +21 hp $298-$698 for advantage or elite (Wot Tuning)
Some people are playing with spacers and Ported throttle bodies so that should be better understood soon. You also have options for headers and more complicated performance upgrades because the Engine in the colorado is virtually the same as the camero engine.
Just saying these options are already out there and probably cheaper than how much you will pay at the dealer
Also notice in the picture that the front air dam has been removed
always wanted red tow hooks
