Rainbow PUSH and Chevrolet have teamed up to put on a series of financial workshops in an effort to educate African American consumers on financial literacy through the cities of Detroit, Chicago and Atlanta.
The program, titled Rainbow PUSH Money Management, will be sponsored by Chevrolet and delve into college financing, credit and the benefits of long-term financial stability and money management.
“For over forty years, the Rainbow PUSH Coalition has been committed to leveling the social and economic playing field in this country and around the world,” said the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., founder and president of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition.
“The next phase of this movement will involve a comprehensive, national empowerment campaign aimed at helping to improve the quality of financial health. This exciting partnership with Chevrolet will help us get there.”
The seminars will feature some of the nation’s leading public and private financial experts, who will share some of their insight to create healthier financial decisions for those attending.
The first seminar will take place in Detroit on October 8 at Wayne State University.

Pay off time to keep Jesse at bay.
I just wonder how much of this money will really get to be used for someone that can use the help. You know Jesse and Al have a lot of overhead.
I really wish Ben Carson would pick up the cause and really start to do some work here. I do trust him and believe he could really make a difference in many lives.
