Corvette C7.R, say hello to your brother: the Callaway Competition Corvette C7 GT3-R.
Callaway Competition recently revealed its C7 GT3-R for racing duty. And even if you aren’t a fan of IMSA or FIA competition racing, or even motorsports in general, you have to admit that this a pretty interesting thing we’re about to witness. For a Corvette Racing enthusiast, its like seeing their favorite athlete enter another aspect of the sport.
For whatever reason, this short yet stunning clip of the Callaway Corvette GT3-R getting tested and prepped for its debut gives us a sense of modesty from the Callaway team, giving us high expectations for the upcoming race car and its performance.
Outside of that, we can’t say enough about this car’s extraordinary looks, even though we tend to appreciate function over form. Luckily, this racer achieves both to remarkable success, a feat that we think deserves plenty of recognition. So we’ll just shut up now and let you watch the video for yourself.

I wanna like it, but then I remember that not one GT3 car, due to their petty 1200-1300kg requirement, can even keep up with a GT2/GTE race car (despite the 600HP this and others have, including some +500HP combatants). Says enough about GT3 cars in general, including this Vette unfortunately. 😐
