C6 Corvette Remote Start Parody Shows Humorous Potential Disaster: Video

Disclaimer: this video parodies what could happen during a shoddy install of an aftermarket remote start system, the C6 Corvette does not wreck, or anything along those lines.

Now, back in the day when remote start systems were first being applied to manual gearboxes, there were very little safety measures to tell the car it was all systems go, and fire it up remotely. Now, plenty of parameters sit in place to ensure nothing awful will happen. Keep the car in neutral, parking brake up and you’re good to go.

But, what if we lived in a world where those safety precautions were simply never developed?

Maybe you’d have a handful of vehicles aimlessly driving around at full throttle, perfectly rowing their gears.

At first glance, it’s a humorous video that should fool more than a few people. Check out what happens above.

  1. I call fake on this video. For one thing if you hear the exhaust it sounds like someone is shifting gears. And second the car wouldn’t go that far in a straight line.

  2. Exactly like Howard said the car is changing gears and driving perfectly straight. And the kid needs to do a better job selling it.
