Buick Verano GS Spied In China?

While Opel has stayed fairly quiet on the next Opel Astra OPC, there have been quite a few spy shots of a supposed Opel Astra GSi with a Buick waterfall grille snapped in Europe. But, Autohome seems to have uncovered a Buick Verano GS hatchback.
And it’s credible, too. Pulling back a sliver of the camouflage reveals “Verano GS” badging on the hatchback, as seen in the spy photos. The hatch looks to be pulling heavy influence from the 2016 Opel Astra as well, and could very well be a simple rebadging job underneath. That’s not entirely a bad thing, though, since the 2016 Astra is quite handsome in our eyes.
Rumors have been swirling about the 2016 Opel Astra K hatch making its way to Buick in North America, and these spy shots may help its case. But, we’ll take them with a grain of salt, as it could be something reserved only for the Chinese Buick brand.

Hoping this happens. IM in to buy. As long as its at 290/290 in à HO ldk or lhu model with à good suspension. Need to replace m’y cobalt ss turbo.
Nice hatch, but it doesn’t scream luxury or even that special middle ground know as premium.
On what planet does Astra warrant a higher price point than value oriented Ford Focus or VW Polo? Shouldn’t this car get new sheet metal and be sold as a Chevrolet Cruze hatch outside of Europe?
Opel vehicles excluding Insignia do not suit Buick. Buick SUVs and even sedans do, however, fit Opel in its journey upmarket. GM needs to be very careful about not transforming Buick into an over priced value brand.
GM: Think Avear; Insignia Tourer. Forget anything resembling VW or Ford.
what is luxury. or what is luxury of this car class.
i know like mb s klass is luxury class and limousin to. other car class i dont know- leather, big sunroof is luxury or what
While Astra is class leading, it has more in common with Ford than Benz.
It would be nice to have this here in the US but I’m wagering at this point it is China only and just a merging of body types and names all going to Verano.
