Blackdog Speed Shop 2014 Camaro Z/28 Convertible Headed For Sale

From the factory, the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 was never offered as a convertible. Convertibles tend to be heavier and less rigid than fixed-roof vehicles, and therefore wouldn’t make much sense for a vehicle dedicated to thundering around a track lap in and lap out. But that didn’t stop the aftermarket, and Blackdog Speed Shop from creating a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 convertible.

We’ve had time to think of how this Camaro could have been even better, and it would have been cool if they built it as a hard-top convertible – though this would have been a heck of a lot more work to do. If we were to become the fortunate new owners we would just leave the top down, it just looks way too good.

Looks, of course, have to come second to the beastly powertrain and performance this Camaro has. Which is nice, because the boom of its 500 hp LS7 V8 will only sound better with the top down. We just wonder how it will drive now that the roof’s been lobbed off.

The question remains… how much is this Camaro Z/28 convertible worth? If we had to throw a number on the board, maybe somewhere between $75,000-$100,000 USD? Talk to us in the comment section below and tell us your thoughts. We’ll have to wait until the gavel slams on it this weekend at Mecum Chicago.
