2017 Opel Meriva Continues Development: Spied

The Opel Meriva is being completely restructured for the 2017 model year, thanks to a (scaled down) General Motors and PSA Peugeot Citroen agreement. And based on new spy photos, the new Meriva looks to be keeping its miniature part-CUV-part-MPV-like shape, with four conventionally opening doors and a fifth door being the hatchback. The ground clearance doesn’t appear to be much higher than the conventional hatchback, but a tall roofline ensures more upright seating and greater headroom than a hatch.
The up-close photo of the headlight has certainly caught our eye, as it almost seems as if there is more than one projector in there, but we aren’t sure if it’s just the angle of the photo. However, we’re not seeing evidence of LED matrix lighting. The tail lights also got our attention, we can see just enough to know that we want to see more.
At the least, these photos have got us very curious as to what the new Opel Meriva will look like. What are your projections? Tell us in the comment section below.
