What’s got two thumbs and wishes it could pilot the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe down the strip? The entire human population, hopeflly. With a 464 hp LF4 twin-turbo six that pumps out 445 pound-feet of torque, launching you from 0 – 60 in just 3.9 seconds, we couldn’t begin to imagine why anyone would pass on the opportunity. In this video, Roman of TFLcar is giving us a glimpse of the fantasy by sharing his ATS-V dragstrip experience with us – so let’s embrace it, shall we?
The setting is the mile high Bandimere Speedway, and from the looks of it there’s some serious competition – right away we see a Dodge SRT Hellcat and a Tesla Model S P85D. His first bout is against a Honda S2000 – a killer in the curves, but a weak performer at the strip. The Honda has a quicker reaction time by about half a second, but the power discrepancy has the ATS-V Coupe leading the way in no time, and finishing with a 13.969 at 105.46 miles per hour – looks like Roman needed the helmet after all. The S2000 ended up running a 16.528 at 88.47 miles per hours – we’re sure it was still fun, just way less fun than being in the Cadillac.
That Tesla we mentioned ran a time of 12 seconds at around 107 miles per hour. We won’t spoil anymore of the video for you, though – as it’s one worth watching.

This guys narration at the beginning almost made me stop watching it, “go straight in a fast line” Huh? Is that even in English? And that’s added on voice over afterwards? Did anyone hear him say that and stop him at anytime and tell him, “hey, that’s sounds pretty crappy”, also I’m amazed at how many so called “auto critics” know so little about cars, its amazing. RCR is another one that makes me cringe, its amusing, sometimes, but other times I want to smash my monitor….”round rubber tires??? NO way…That’s amazing!!!” “How many cylinders? I think like 4??” Jeeeeezzzzz……..
