Last time we checked in on Vengeance Racing the team had somehow cobbled 1,088 hp and 1,079 lb-ft of torque out of its Corvette Z06 project car, thanks to heaps of parts and an enlarged nitrous jet.
However, the team had done all it could with the factory blower. Not one to settle, VR vowed to find a suitable replacement to squeeze even more power out of its already-insane Z06. Finally, that day has come.
The Georgia-based tuning company recently got its mitts on a brand new Magnuson supercharger and took to Facebook to show off the new blower. It’s one of the first ever Magnuson 2300 supercharger systems developed for the C7 Z06.
A direct replacement for the stock 1.7L unit, the 2300 features a larger volume, better airflow design, and markedly improved intercooler bricks to help eliminate heat soak issues, according to VR.
It plans install the unit very soon and won’t skimp on divulging all the juicy details like performance increases, drivability and even intake temperatures.
Once baseline performance numbers are established the Z06 will be sent off to Nitrous Outlet for a couple tanks of hot sauce. Yup, one of the world’s craziest Z06 Corvette is about to get a whole lot hotter.
Your move, John.
