Before they campaigned a Camaro Z/28.R in the IMSA Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge, Stevenson Motorsports raced a Pratt & Miller built Camaro GT.R in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series Grand Touring class. One of those Camaros is now in the hands of Brown-Baljet Racing, who recently took it out for some test laps at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Washington.
We probably wouldn’t have heard about their little test had Canadian racing driver Brody Goble not posted a point-of-view video of the experience to his YouTube channel. The video gives us a first-person look at what a handful and purpose built racecar like this can be, even when completing simple shakedown laps to ensure the car is performing as well it as should be.
So if you’ve ever wondered what its like sitting behind the wheel of a 600 horsepower Camaro with a rally style six-speed sequential transmission, check out the video above.
