SCA Performance 421 Reminds Us Of The Chevy Silverado Cheyenne SEMA Concept: Video

Back when it was released, the Chevrolet Silverado Cheyenne SEMA Concept was something that we really wanted to see go into production as a “Silverado SS” performance pickup truck of sorts. Sadly, our hopes and dreams have yet to bear fruit in that regard. On a more positive note, SCA Performance has put something together that should soothe our aching hearts.

The snazzy, deep blue Chevrolet Silverado you see here is the SCA 421, and this truck is loaded with all the goodies us car folk could possibly hope to see in such a vehicle. Like what, you ask? Well, for starters, the 421 package features short-tube headers, cold-air intake, a 3-inch stainless steel exhaust, and is tuned in-house by SCA.  If all this isn’t enough for the power-hungry driver in you, SCA also offers the 571 Performance Package upgrade for the SCA 421. This upgrade fits a Whipple twin-screw, intercooled supercharger to the 5.3 liter V8 EcoTec3. This addition allows the truck to race through the quarter-mile in under 13 seconds – making it the fastest SCA Performance vehicle available.

Regardless of which amount of power you go with, the SCA 421/571 is a sweet looking truck. What we absolutely love is that the tastefully designed bodykit is also fully functional, improving the aerodynamics of the Silverado. We’re also very big fans of the custom 22-inch staggered wheels wrapped in Hankook rubber, which resemble the Camaro Z/28 wheels used on the Silverado Cheyenne SEMA Concept.

Check out the video and let us know what you think about this high-speed Silverado.

  1. Wow, great truck! Gotta lower my 2014 WT like that. Looks killer. Chevy should make that suspension optional.

  2. Sorry, I’m calling BS on that “functional bodykit” claim. Especially the “low pressure channeling side skirts” . Before any diffuser/underbody channeling aerodynamic aids can work, the parts have to be low enough to the ground effectively take advantage of the venturi, and positive and negative pressure affects of the air passing under/around the vehicle. Even with the lowered suspension, that truck is has acres of dirty unmanaged air swirling all over the place.

That said, it does look nice.

  4. That guy is definitely the wrong narrator for this vid. I didn’t believe a word he said because of his annoying mosquito voice.
