Following Tim Tozer’s abrupt resignation, which has further been explained, Rory Harvey has been named the new Managing Director and Chairman of Vauxhall.
Harvey joined General Motors in 1989, and most recently held the position of Executive Director of Sales for Opel Europe. His wide experience inside of GM includes working in several areas of sales and aftersales for the company.
Harvey will report to Peter Kuespert, Vice President Sales & Aftersales and Member of the Board Opel Group, and had the following to say about his latest appointment.
“Rory has a profound knowledge of the British car market, a wealth of experience within Vauxhall and Opel and excellent management qualities. We look forward to working with Rory on the implementation of our model offensive and on building an even stronger Vauxhall brand. At the same time, I would like to thank Tim for the great commitment he showed towards our brand. We are grateful for his hard work and wish him all the best for the future.”

Dear Mr Harvey
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my brand new 66 corsa bought in October. I have had two corsas previously and they have been superb. My problem relates to the automatic gear box which struggles so much it makes for a horrible drive .It is awful when have to accelerate quickly is sluggish and strained. Had I been able to test drive at the vauxhall dealer I would not have bought this, no automatic was there. I paid £16000 and cant wait for it to depreciate to sell it. Driving is horrible each trip. My previous cars had smooth automatic transmission even the first R reg. I believe you have a major engineering fault that you should be awate of and will never purchase another or recommend. This is my first new car I am 62! I am happy to share my dealers information who are totally aware of my dissatisfaction but say all of these automatic corsas are the same! Try to test drive yourself please.
