Roadster Shop Rampage Chevrolet Camaro Rears Its Head On Track: Video

Remember the Chevrolet Camaro “Rampage” that stunned SEMA 2014? We’ve touched on it a few times this year and now we are happy to show you exactly what this insane Camaro is capable of on track.

Built by the wizards at Roadster Shop, the Rampage is based on a 1970 Camaro and continues to be one of the most cohesive and extensive track-bound gen-two Camaros we’ve ever seen.

Slathered from toe-hook to exhaust tips with all the appropriate racing addenda, the Camaro track warrior somehow manages to pull off the trick of looking both old yet factory fresh in its racing regalia.

Just have a look at the build thread. This far, far, far from stock 1970 Chevrolet Camaro left the factory with Forgeline wheels, Penske racing shocks, racing seats, a roof scoop, and a sequential gearbox far as we can remember. Did we mention it’s good for 617 hp and about 575 lb-ft of torque and can shoot flames?

But really, who cares about all that. It’s insanely ludicrous and we love it all the same. Now, let’s all gather ‘round the TV and watch the Rampage Camaro absolutely shred the track at Blackhawk Farms.

A far-too-tall Ontarian who likes to focus on the business end of the auto industry, in part because he's too tall to safely swap cogs in a Corvette Stingray.
