Rick Hendrick originally sold his very first 1963 C2 Corvette to purchase his first Chevrolet dealership many years ago. But, 15 years later, he tracked the special car down and repurchased it.
Hendrick unveiled his “new” first 1963 C2 Corvette at the National Corvette Museum, which has taken a modern twist. He has taken the original chassis from the 1963 C2 Corvette and turned it into a hell of a conversation piece for his conference table in his office.
Now, his new 1963 C2 Corvette sits on a modern restomod chassis with a Corvette ZR1 LS9 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. To any pedestrian, the C2 Corvette looks nearly factory. To the Corvette enthusiast, they’ll know there is something special going on.
In the video, you can also see a special guest was on hand to help introduce Hendrick’s new Corvette: a Mr. Brad Paisley, who was nearby at the Bowling Green assembly plant to watch his new 2016 C7 Corvette Z06 be built.
