Rare-Colored 1954 Chevrolet Corvette Makes Its Way To eBay

First-generation Chevrolet Corvettes don’t pop up frequently, and only 300 1954 Corvettes were produced in Pennant Blue – like the one seen on this eBay listing. With that said, it’s no wonder that these cars get a ton of interest when they finally do turn up for sale.

Thirty-five bids have already been placed on this Corvette, with the most recent bid of $34,600 USD. With the reserve having already been met, this purchase will come down to which prospective buyer wants the car more and is willing to dish out the extra dough.

It would be a sound investment as the car – as you can see – is completely original and the seller states that it has matching numbers for the Blue Flame 6-cylinder engine, automatic transmission, and rear-end. This Corvette has been stored in a barn for nearly five decades – the frame is rot-free, and the seller states that the motor has not seized. It’s quite rough and in need of restoration, but fully restored, this thing could certainly go for a pretty penny at a Barrett Jackson show, or some other auction.

  1. Funny I saw a restored one last Sunday at a show. I also saw a 55 with the Plexiglas top. One of the more rare aftermarket options of the era.

It was a good show it even had my favorite 250 GT Lussso Ferrari and even the real Sanford and Son Truck. Oh and a 11 mile 63 Impala from that dealer in Nebraska.
